With nearly two decades of experience in the firearms industry, Ziyad Showket is a firearms instructor, business owner, and range professional based in Northern California. He began his career in 2006 at Bullseye Indoor Range in San Rafael, later serving as General Manager, where he built a strong reputation for safety, technical instruction, and customer education.
He went on to serve as Lead Instructor for Peter Koch Associates and held leadership roles at Marin Firearms, further developing his expertise in training, compliance, and operations.
Ziyad’s instruction emphasizes strong fundamentals, practical defensive application, and a commitment to safety and accountability, with a focus on developing capable and responsible firearms owners.

With an understanding of California firearm laws and a passion for helping others become safer and more skilled, Chris makes complex topics approachable and engaging.
Her teaching style blends patience, humor, and straight talk — empowering students to learn at their own pace while building lasting confidence. Whether she’s on the range, in the classroom, or sharing practical safety tips while out ‘n about, her goal is simple: to help every student handle firearms responsibly, confidently, and legally.
